FAQ

What should I know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$1.50/square foot of wall space for one coat, $2/square foot of wall space for two coats. Dependant on space and complexity of the job. We try to keep quotes to square foot vs hourly rate - this way we won't rush and you will feel comfortable with the amount of time it takes to give you a superior finished painting project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, we will come out to see the space and talk with you about what you envision for color. Second, we will measure the space and calculate your quote based on square footage and amounts of coats of paint for the project. Third, you will receive a quote including the cost of the paint (our house paint is Sherwin Williams) and an estimated project date. Lastly, if you decide to use our services we secure dates that work for you and complete your project on these dates. Payment is collected after the final walk-through of the project's completion. The final walk- through is the time to ensure all parties are pleased with the finished project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Julie has worked in building inspections for the great part of her career before starting painting. The time spent within the public sector inspections department is the understanding for order needed during a remodel or project. Deadlines and promptness are very important and as a registered independent contractor specializing in painting, we respect this and keep our word on deadlines and work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Julie has always had a love for design and color and has completed all of her own painting projects. After years of encouragement from those in her life to do it professionally, she decided to make her passion her practice. After going to school for Women's Studies, she also saw a need for more females in the trades fields and realized her get-it-done attitude, and patience for detail made her the perfect person to do be a female painter.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Homeowners are our main base in customers. It is great to work with homeowners mostly for their vested interest and desire for a well-done project. Their expectations are of the same that we have for ourselves in our work. The best part of working with homeowners is the everyday personal connections and walking away at the end of a project knowing a job was well done and is complete.
